Yawn

I. Am. So. Tired. YAWN. Thank god it's Friday, seriously. Staying up until 3 a.m. on a work night is not a good idea (particularly when accompanied by a dirty martini and wine), but at least today is Friday and I finished my brief. I actually went to Clarke's on Belmont last night. I haven't been there since 1998. It is stinking, raging HOT right now in Chicago. Even though I am so tempted to gripe and complain about it as Chicagoans are wont to do when it comes to weather, I'm secretly excited. This is the perfect weather for late July! And, perfect for wearing cute little summer dresses as these that I have recently purchased:

Style RSA8339

In purple, Ginger Dress, C&C California
In white, Cotton Spandex Jersey Dress, American Apparel
My versions are both in navy, and I'm wearing both this weekend.

Right now, I am OBSESSED with The Sartorialist. I beg you, check this blog out. It's this fashion insider's blog, and it is unashamedly and un-self consciously picky, elitist, and snotty, and I love it. He simply takes pictures of "every day" New Yorkers, Parisians, and Milanese he sees on the street. It challenges me to do more than wear clothes that match that I bought at J.Crew. I think it is easy to look nice, but it takes much more effort and a true sense of fashion to look effortlessly stylish. Of course, if I lived in any of these cities and encountered these gorgeous, stylish people on a daily basis, I mean, you might as well kill me now:

Take note of the accessories: the bandana, the shoes, the shorts peeking underneath the white dress, the red belt, the right heel on the shoes.
