New Year, New York
I know everyone is waiting with bated breath, but I haven't uploaded my New York pictures yet and am still sort of hazy and groggy from the weekend. I'll post a full narrative soon, I promise. I haven't had the time to do the usual proper New Year's reflection as I have been on vacation, but I'll try.
New York this time around involved quite possibly one of the strangest and scariest experiences in my life thus far. There were a few breakdowns, some tears, a missed connection, and what I will deem an episode, but it was a fun trip overall. I need to go back soon. The best thing I ate was the gnudi from The Spotted Pig, and I'm so mad I didn't take a picture of it to fully capture each delicately fried piece of sage. The worst thing I ate was the grilled cheese and tomato sandwich at 4:30 a.m. on New Year's day. I need a new camera, by the way. I'm embarrassed to say I ate at three restaurants I've eaten at before, but I wanted assured good food. Best thing I saw: the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center, hands down. It took my breath away. Worst thing I saw: I can't really go into it here, but it was truly one of the worst things I've seen, ever.
OK, more to come....
